Greektown Casino and Hotel – Detroit, Michigan
Date: 3/17/2010 5:07:17 PM Category: Michigan

My stay at The Greektown Casino and Hotel was enjoyable.  The rooms are modern and comfortable.  I opted for a room on a high floor which offered great views of the city, river and neighboring Windsor from its floor to ceiling windows.

From the hotel, you take a sky bridge to access the casino (a bonus in winter months).  One thing I was not fond of was the choppy flow of the casino.  I was continuously turned around and it felt quite crowded.  But they do offer many penny slots (sign of the times I suppose) to help stretch your gambling budget.

As the name indicates, it is located in Greektown; so I decided to dine in a street front restaurant rather than in the hotel.  One of my favorite Greek restaurants in Greektown is Pegasus, which offers a large menu, charming atmosphere, and too many desserts to choose from!
