Camp 18 Restaurant – Elsie, Oregon
Date: 10/31/2009 12:24:52 AM Category: Oregon

On Highway 26 at mile marker 18 in Elsie, Oregon, you cannot miss this log cabin restaurant, logger museum and gift shop.  Great food, great atmosphere, massive chainsaw carvings (great photo ops), and the biggest antler chandelier I’ve ever seen or maybe the only one!  Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, make a point to stop when traveling through this area.  Also, they are apparently known for their cinnamon rolls which are gigantic and delicious.  As well, my husband loved this place, primarily because he has the appetite of a lumberjack, just not the metabolism (sorry honey)!

Located at: 42362 Highway 26, Elsie, Oregon 97138

Hood River, Orgeon is a quaint little town and a cute place to stay overnight if you're in the area.

The Columbia River Gorge region boasts a beautiful collection of waterfalls; however, Multnomah Falls is by far my favorite and worth the short climb toward the top or at least to the viewing bridge.
