Visiting Boca Raton, Florida
Date: 10/6/2009 6:47:31 AM Category: Florida

Boca Raton, Florida is on the southern end of Palm Beach County in South Florida and home to Florida Atlantic University.  It is most certainly beautiful with its manicured and palm lined streets, great beaches, lush greenery, numerous parks, and almost always sunny days.  Mizner Park is a great area that boasts shops, restaurants, Mizner Amphitheater, The Boca Raton Museum of Art, and much more, located just east of Federal Highway, north of Palmetto Park Road.

After living here for nearly a decade, I have decided that it is best to visit Boca Raton than to call it home though.  Come, enjoy the beaches, and admire the surroundings, but generally speaking, don’t expect too much in terms of hospitality.  I won’t speculate as to why it is this way, I will just relay that many are unfriendly and it is obvious enough that a large number of people share this opinion.  It is unfortunate because the people are truly the backbone of every city; in this case… I think Boca Raton has scoliosis.  I don’t want to discourage anyone from visiting the area, I am simply being truthful and bringing a little attention to this issue while letting visitors know what to expect.  It's a shame that people just can't be nice!
