Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina

Millions of people from all over the world and of all faiths have visited the small village of Medjugorje (“Between the Hills”) in Bosnia-Herzegovina since the 1981 apparition of the Virgin Mary.  It is said that she appeared to six children on a hill now named the Hill of Apparitions and that she has continued to appear and deliver messages from God to the world.  Whether these events occurred is not for me to say, but there is a definite energy here that cannot be denied and should be embraced on a unique and personal level.  Climb the modest hill to the apparition site, there are several markers designating areas of significance; take this time to reflect, contemplate, and form your own personal feelings and impressions.  This is a very subjective experience and those with an open mind may just walk away from this experience changed forever.
