Hoh Rainforest – Olympic National Park – Olympic Peninsula, Washington
Date: 9/3/2009 10:20:51 PM Category: Washington

From Port Angeles, we drove west to Forks, WA then 30 minutes south to the Hoh Rainforest.  From the visitor’s center there are multiple trails (guided available) depending on your physical capabilities.  This is also a preferred entrance for climbers to reach Mount Olympus.  This beautiful and dense rainforest is blanketed with moss and nature lovers will enjoy the array of fauna and flora the Hoh offers.  On the drive in on Upper Hoh Road, you will find a café with great burgers (keep in mind for lunch).  Also there are an abundance of great picnic and fishing spots along the Hoh River on your drive in or out of the rainforest.

The Delilah I am referring to is the one we all know from the radio. Delilah’s Cozy Kitchen is hers and located near where she calls home in Port Orchard, Washington.

St. Johns is a working monastery that you can tour; they also offer a wonderful shop that sells fresh baked goods, pastries, and other products made from scratch by the sisters.

Sequim, pronounced “skwim” is charming and reminded me of a west coast Boca Raton, but a much friendlier version.
