Pike Place Market – Seattle, Washington
Date: 9/3/2009 9:53:29 PM Category: Washington

Pike Place Market is quintessential Seattle… The bustle, sights, and sounds is the makeup of the unforgettable Pike Place Market.  Sit on the golden pig, stroll the aisle of fresh flowers, enjoy the craftsmanship of the local vendors offerings.  Cross the street to the original Starbucks (a must see) and enjoy the musicians that adorn its storefront.  Around the corner is the Seattle’s Best that started it all and is deserving of your patronage as well.  A great souvenir is a Seattle’s Best mug which includes a free drink of your choice (that’s a deal; I don’t care what you say).  You can do a coffee connoisseur day and sample Tully’s (also a big West Coast favorite) if you are so inclined.  Back to where I was, Pike Place Market is so alive and so inviting, I can hardly express my fondness.  Shop, taste, linger and take it all in; you’ll love it… guaranteed, exclamation point.

They say looks can be deceiving and you certainly cannot judge this restaurant by its exterior, but I promise you will have a memorable meal!

The Delilah I am referring to is the one we all know from the radio. Delilah’s Cozy Kitchen is hers and located near where she calls home in Port Orchard, Washington.

St. Johns is a working monastery that you can tour; they also offer a wonderful shop that sells fresh baked goods, pastries, and other products made from scratch by the sisters.

Sequim, pronounced “skwim” is charming and reminded me of a west coast Boca Raton, but a much friendlier version.
