Yosemite National Park

If you are anything like I was, you may not know what to expect on a visit to Yosemite National Park. With so much written on this natural wonder, I want only to impress upon you the importance of visiting this park that unfolds throughout the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

I visited Yosemite via the 140 entrance from Mariposa, CA into Yosemite Valley which afforded great views of Yosemite, Bridalveil, and Ribbon Falls as well as El Capitan and Half Dome. I then drove up to Glacier and Washburn Point to witness one of the greatest views imaginable of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome and the falls. Along the way on Glacier Point Road from the valley just east of the Wawona Tunnel is the Tunnel View which offers another spectacular view of El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, the Valley, and Half Dome. The natural beauty and awe that is experienced in Yosemite is without a doubt unforgettable.
