Located in St. Helena, CA and open daily – except Thanksgiving; Christmas and New Year's Day. The grounds at Beringer Vineyards are scenic, charming and worth the visit. Registered as a historic Napa Valley winery, you can tour The Rhine House (1884), which was Frederick Beringer’s 17 room mansion built to be reminiscent of the family's German home. As well, you can tour the wine-aging caves that were tunneled into the hillside between the late 1870's to the early 1880's.

Guided tours are available and can guide you through the original Stone Winery, wine-aging tunnels, The Rhine House, and include wine tastings. In addition, the tasting room offers 3 tastings for $10, which is one of best bargains in Napa Valley that we came across. Be sure to taste the Beringer Dry Riesling which they claim is the best in the world.
