Blake's Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada, Michigan is probably my all time favorite cider mill. Blake's offers all the traditional fare from cider, donuts, caramel apples, fresh corn on the cob, and a lot more.

On a local’s recommendation I went to Red Mesa Grill when in Traverse City, Michigan. The menu is southwestern along with one of the largest tequila menus I’ve ever seen.

It took me a few years after I left, matured, and traveled to appreciate what I had left behind. I have yet to come across a place with such heart, a place where the beauty truly lies in its people. That place is Detroit.
