There is not much in the way of shopping, dining, or attractions in Belize City. That being said, it is my opinion that you definitely need to schedule an excursion or tour in advance. However, once you arrive in port, you will have numerous opportunities to schedule a tour, and possibly save in comparison to cruise ship excursion prices.
